We spend
the day visiting the sights of Old Istanbul. We will begin at the
ancient
Hippodrome where chariot races were held in the Roman
city of Constantinople. We also visit the
Museum of
Turkish and Islamic Arts where we will see the hand
crafts created by Turkish and Islamic civilizations. Then we proceed
to the
Blue Mosque, one of the most
important religious edifices in the Islamic World. Nearby is
Hagia
Sophia Museum, one of the most important religious
buildings of the Christian world. After lunch we will visit the
Topkapi Palace
for centuries the Sultans' residence and the administrative center
of the Ottoman Empire.

Drive to
Bursa the city famous for top quality silk. This morning, we will
take the Ferry across the sea of Marmara. After lunch in a nice
local restaurant with Turkish specialties, we will begin to explore
the city and its highlights including the Green Mosque, Green Tomb
and Ethnographic Museum. Then, we stroll through the Grand Bazaar
and Silk Market. Then we wander the winding streets to see
interesting old Ottoman-Turkish architecture. Tonight, opportunity
to experience a typical Turkish Bath from ottoman times. Overnight

Drive
along the
Dardanelles and Aegean to Ayvalik. Enroute visit
Troy the legendary city of King Priamos. Lunch in local restaurant. Overnight

Drive to Kusadasi on the Aegean. Visit Pergamum
including Acropolis and Aescylpion the ancient medical center where
' Galen ' the famous physician of the ancient world, practiced
medicine. Sightseeing of
Izmir the third largest city in

Full day
visit of the most important archaeological sites of Turkey. On our
agenda today, Ephesus one of the most important archaeological sites
in the world and also it is a very well preserved ancient city that
brings the ancient life back to life, the Virgin Mary's House
claimed to be only the true place in the world where Mother Mary had
spent her last years , the Basilica of St. John, St. John was one of
the Apostles who brought Mother Mary from Jerusalem area to Ephesus
and who had written the book of revelations on the island Patmos.
Ephesus Museum is a nice local museum a good exhibition of the
findings from Ephesus area. A brief stop at Artemis Temple one of
the seven wonders of the Antique world where we can have nice view
of Selcuk Fortress and Church of St. John. If time permits excursion
to traditional village of Sirince. Lunch in a local restaurant. Overnight

Drive to
Bodrum.
Turkey's famous resort center. Enroute visit Priene great
Hellenistic city with beautiful setting on the hillside. Continue to
Miletus which was the first Greek colony in Asia Minor and also home
to great ancient scientists and philosophers. Continue to Didyma
where we can see the well preserved Apollo Temple one of the biggest
temples of the Antiquity, and an important Oracle center. Lunch in
local restaurant. Overnight at hotel |

Drive to
Fethiye.
Visit the Castle of the Knights/Bodrum.
Visit Caunos the ancient city with spectacular rock tombs built into
the cliffs. Drive on to Telmessus/Fethiye,
visit the rock tombs and Kayakoy an abandoned Greek Ghost town.

Drive to
Kas. We will begin at Xanthos the ancient city built on a cliff,
with well preserved Lycian / Hellenistic / Roman ruins. Visit Letoon,
the principal ancient sanctuary dedicated to Leto the goddess and
mother of Apollo and Artemis. Drive on to Patara, the port city of
Xanthos and birthplace of Santa Claus ( St. Nicholas ). Drive along
the Turquoise coast of Turkey to our hotel at Kas ( ancient
Antiphellos). Overnight at hotel |

Drive to
Antalya. Today's highlight is a boat trip to Sunken city of Kekova.
Part of the ruins is under the water and is visible from the Boat.
Drive to Myra ancient city with spectacular ruins and Lycian rock
tombs. Keep driving along the Turquoise coast, to Phaselis an
ancient port city, with beautiful scenery of the Taurus Mountains

Day long
excursion to the ancient Greek, Hellenistic and Roman cities of
Perge, Aspendos, and Side. We will take a nice walk around the
ancient ruins, getting information about the daily life in the
ancient world. On the way back to the hotel, opportunity to visit
Antalya
Archaeological Museum where we can see the findings from ancient

Morning
flight Antalya
/ Istanbul.
Upon arrival in Istanbul, take private boat for a cruise on the
Bosphorus . You will enjoy the water-front wooden houses built in
Ottoman style and breath taking view. Disembark near the Spice
market, and free shopping time in the Spice Market. Rest of the
afternoon is at leisure for last minute shopping in the
Grand
Bazaar, packing etc. Overnight at hotel. The end of
