Safranbolu has a beautiful nature along
wiht its history and houses. However the perfection of the traditional
Turkish houses of Safranbolu whish turns the city in a open museum makes
the natural beauty less important. Natural beauties of Safranbolu consist of forests, pasturages, canyons
and cavers.
Different attitudes create variety in
climate and plants while making the place perfect for nature sports.
Dense forests and heights make formation of pasteurs possible.
Geological formation of the area created deep and long canyons and
several kms long caverns.
The area has two famous products. One of
them is the safran plant which gave its name to the town. Safran can dye
a fluid 100.000 times of its own weight and it is used as a spice and in
chemical industry. The usable part of safran is the seeds of its flowers
and it has a considerable financial value. Safranbolu is one of the rare
place where safran plant is grown. Another famous product of Safranbolu
is "safranbolu surgent grape"

town is interesting. Along with deep and long canyons there are big
caves and setreams coming out of the caves on the slopes of the hills.
The center of the city is also located on an interesting geological
